Why I decided to go on the keto diet
Ever since I can remember I’ve always had a slight weight problem, even in my high school years I remained active, working out and lifting weights.
During several years my weight was like a yo-yo going up and down.
When I was twenty-four, I had my gallbladder removed and was told to go on a lof fat diet I did this for almost a year, eating smart-ones at lunch, salads for dinner…yet I still gained weight. I will admit that I wasn’t counting calories, just fat.
The other issue I had was constantly being hungry and depressed while on a super-low-fat diet, I binged more than I should have and was often over-indulging comfort foods.
After a while no matter what I did just didn’t seem to help keep me at a healthy weight.
After struggling through many different diets I decided to take a closer look at the keto diet.
My first full day on a ketogenic diet. I dove in headfirst and haven’t looked back to carbs since then.
During my first week on the keto diet, I lost over 5 pounds.

After that I eliminated oils.

This allowed me to implement a regular exercise plan. First I started walking a mile every day and after a while, I finally joined a gym.
After a few months, I had implemented a complete workout plan that involved strength training and 45 minutes of cardio.
After a lot of hard work and just 3 months, I lost 40 pounds.
Not only did I lose weight there were other positive benefits I noticed, these included:

Nearly anyone can do it! I’m a lazy person by nature.
I work 50 hours a week, but still have the energy to work out, however, this diet should work for people who don’t exercise or are not as active as I am.
